Flame Girl started out as a smalltown thrillseeker, completely unaware of anything outside of her hometown. However, she eventually ended up taking a job that in quick order exposed her to all of it. At the same time, she ended up modified, which she took as a sign she should become a superhero. She joined up with a group of adventurers that included Ace, and stuck by him as he founded BLUE.

Flame Girl helps coordinate missions, so she tends to play an important role. She also often goes off on missions herself when the job allows, so she's wellknown to the other organizations as well.
Role: Agent 4 (Important)

Fenrir's past is shrouded in mystery. All the agents know is the Benefactor found him surrounded by death. It was clear he was broken, and so the Benefactor attempted to reset his mind. However, although he lost his memories, he found himself trapped in current state, a mindless killing machine. The Benefactor brought him back to the Shadow Plane, and does his best to placate him until he can figure out a way to fix them. Or so they're told.

Fenrir is a destructive agent often sent to soften up any operations that have no need for tact. He occasionally gets loose and plays other roles, though.
Fenrir is fairly unusual at first slight. Due to being a halfbreed, his traits are neither identifiable as one race or the other, just somewhere in between. While not a deformity of any type, it does make him stand out, and would be the type of thing that would get a kid picked on.

Fenrir is moderately powerful foe, but he is RELENTLESS. He pursues prey merciless and attacks anything that gets into melee range. However, he recognizes losing battles and often retreats from foes who are clearly going to win or those who have beat him soundly before. Outside of that, his strategy is little more than 'destroy everything in reach.'

Evolution is the result of five lives, a lot of magic, and even more luck. From the result, a sentient plane was created, and it was capable of creating an avatar to send to the Tellurian plane. However, at the time she was under control of a dark mage, and killed and tortured many before she was captured. Eventually her escape was facilitated, and soon after she was killed. However, one of the spells that went into her creation was one that made one stronger after a defeat, and after a week the avatar was back. However, a plane cannot be made stronger, so instead the mind of the avatar was. She realized she was being controlled, and she hated this fact. She forced the Gang to help her defeat the dark mage controlling her, and though successful, she once again lost her life. She returned again, but this time saw the errors of her past two lives and decided to dedicate herself from this point out to helping others, latching onto Blake. He was able to convince the others of how important she was, and she has since done work under Blake.
Fin Color: Blue

Undine have one of the most alien looks, with two eyes floating in water and four fins are the limb joints.

History
Undine are the coming together of two different water-based organisms. One was an oblong sphere like an eye, which could pull water around it. Another mimicked a fin in shape and could whip water near it. Eventually the two formed a bond, increasing both of their powers. Naturally, huge colonies of these emerged, and were essentially a deathtrap for any living thing. That was the problem, though, no intelligent living thing would come near it. Eventually, small groups departed and attempted to act as moving colonies. However, this time, they were the living thing walking into unknown territory. While they hungered, they proved no threat to any other water-based species on their own. Indeed, the other species tended to interpret their attacks as play, and many provided them food and protection. As time went on, undine adapted to this, and took on a shape more natural to the races. This resulted in the other races growing closer, but more importantly better food and protection. Over time, they began to understand more and more of their cultures, and as the benefits of being part of the underwater society increased, they heard wind of one above the waves. Though most were content with their new position, several set off to see what the world above offered.

Being a race of two basic creatures, Undine are a bit simpler than most races. They are largely curious about the working of the new social machine, but they still have a basic animal hunger that many succumb to.
Culture
As a race that evolved from mooching from other societies, the Undine have no specific culture. Indeed, in most cases, Undine are content and perhaps even most comfortable sleeping and working outside.
Fashion
Again, Undine never developed on their own. However, as their bodies are solely water shaped to be body-like, they have no nudity taboo to begin with and indeed feel most natural with it. In societies that frown upon this, they tend to favor as little clothing as possible, uncomfortable with the feeling of it but willing to compromise for the benefits offered.

Racial Abilities
* Magic: Water - Low
* Mute
* Weight: Heavy

Note: Plug and Play
Most Undine will have two 'eyes' and four 'fins.' This is what caused other races to react most hospitably, and so this is what their relationships are maximized for. However, additional eyes and fins will make an Undine slightly stronger, but as a trade-off, make them more alien to most social races. Some may choose to try to hide these to interact, but it is difficult with the discomfort of clothing and a fully translucent body.
Racial Norms
Undine focus on Magic and Agility, especially Flexibility, dumping Intelligence and Conviction, with Chakra usually the middle ground. We'll say Emotional and Adrift, following their base instincts for the most part right now?

*Intelligence 1/1
Raijuu are like human-sized water striders. Their joints are large half-spheres, and their faces are are the same, with a vestigial mouth and beady black eyes.

History
The Raijuu are an Elder Race that were able to survive on sound alone. As such, packs had no meaning to them, especially due to their ability to asexually reproduce. However, like many other Elder Races, they became interested in society, especially with all the new sounds. They were able to perform minor illusions to make themselves appear humanoid.

Raijuu pursue sound over social contact, but over time they've come to understand cooperation is the best way to get what they want.
Culture
As mentioned, raijuu rarely spend time together, so there is no real culture for the race. They tend to blend into any society they join with their illusions.

Fashion
As with culture, they tend to fit the norm of wherever they live. As the forms are illusions, they tend to be a bit more expressive than the standard practice. Still, excessive piercings or tribal tattoos are rare, even though the form is just an illusion.

Gnomes are small, insect-like humanoids. They often create sand golems around themselves to more easily interact with other races.

History
Another early race, sort of insectoid in look. Gnomes are similar to dryads in ability, in relation to the earth. They resided within the earth, avoiding any of the perils of the early worlds. They came under contact with the dwarves, and assisted them early on. They have no real relation with any other races, but as individuals they are free to explore as they desire.

Gnomes don't have much need to socialize, but when they do they often become immersed in the culture they find. This of course can go both ways.

Gnomes quickly took to the ground like fishmen to water or Dryad’s to plant life. Their small insect like bodies were incredibly adept at swimming through the sand in combination of their own fields and anatomy. Sadly, they were also very adept at being eaten by Sand worms/wyrms, who thought they were the best tasting things since smaller sand worms/wyrms. As the races wore on, Gnomes stuck to their desert home.

Soon, a human civilization arose in the desert, studying the habits of the Gnomes. Their own cities were built to fend off the attacks of the sand w.’s and the Gnomes peacefully coexisted with them. (especially since the ruins kept the worms away) and everyone won!

Unfortunately, after the data was sent to other human settlements, Vulture Wasp Horrorterrors flooded into the human city, killing damn near everything. The few that survived fled the desert as fast as they could. The sandworm defenses didn’t drop at all, so the Gnomes continued to live under the city, as content as they could be.
Culture
They don’t deal much with other races and cultures, preferring to stay underneath the sand and live among themselves in peace. Trading is limited to basically nothing, because I don’t see that gnomes have anything people want and vice/versa? If they like shiny stones, this is probably open to change.

Gnome culture is basically super communism, with various tribal ‘bands’ that live in various places under the city. In each band of families, the gnomes share everything: Food, what little wealth they have, and each other. They’re basically really adorable and even though the various bands sometimes feud over territory, it is essentially settled by gnome poetry contests, which come down to busting phat beats via vibration.
Some gnomes venture out into the world, creating sand golems to suit their purposes. These quickly pick up a sign language so they communicate and watch other cultures. These aren’t considered pariahs among their race, and are generally well-received when they come back and give news of the outside world, and spread knowledge and magic among the other gnomes.

Fashion
They are naked insect people. Their golems are naked too.

Note: Muttin' But Trouble
Halfbreeds are just common enough in culture that it could make sense for PCs to want to try to play them. Here's some prototype rules on formulating:

* General + General = Limited
* General + Limited = Limited
* General + Restricted = Restricted
* Limited + Limited = Restricted
* Limited + Restricted = Restricted
* Restricted + Restricted = Probably Not Happening

In general, a DM doesn't want more than one of ANY SPECIFIC halfbreed. Note that certain hybrids might end up a Play Category above or below the general rules.

When creating a halfbreed, there are unique rules. Halfbreeds get all abilities that have levels from both races, but one level lower than their parents. If they both have the ability, you count only the highest down a level.

Halfbreeds also start out with whatever trait we make people regard one as a misfit, as well as probably one other negative trait. They get no creation bonuses for these.

In cases of conflicting abilities, it is generally the choice of the PC, although certain DMs may suggest/enforce rulings they should provide beforehand.

Some more as we go along.
Note: Niches Ain't Shit
In general, every race seems to feel a niche, but sometimes it seems some of them share one. Even then, their approach to the niche is often very different. Below are some examples I can think of, if anyone else has questions I'm sure I'll hit them:

*Centaurs and Dwarves both fit the niche being dedicated to work. But Centaurs focus on efficiency for their farms, whereas dwarves enjoy work solely to keep busy.
*Kappa and Usagi both work as dedicated to a specific subculture. But Kappa focus on the spirit of the subculture, whereas Usagi tend to embrace the physical side more, being a bit more of poseurs.
*Inu and Minotaur are both written as the muscle for hire originally, but Inu are hunters and Minotaurs are protectors.

Really, I suspect in most cases these races would get along the least well in many cases. While other races just don't care about the issues, these races have entirely different beliefs they feel strongly about, and if someone else feels strongly but different it's not a good thing.

Key
Play Category
They are three basic play categories for races:
* General - In general, this race is allowed for use for all. In most stories, any or all PCs may use it. There might occasionally be restrictions against everyone using a single race, but at least two should generally be allowed.
* Limited - In general, this race should only be represented by one PC, and may not be allowed in all stories. Ideally, PCs will have different enough tastes to decide on different races, and any conflicts can hopefully be fixed with compromise. DMs may allow two in certain cases, but outside of that it is recommended to stick hard to one.
* Restricted - In general, this race is forbidden from PC play, and rarely should ever be allowed even one unless the player can justify it in some way. Be very careful in breaking this at any point.
Note: Rated R for Restricted
Some people might wonder why the restricted races are mentioned at all if they're not for PC use. Well, firstly, the races ARE still a part of the setting, and the GM may occasionally use restricted races as NPCs (keep in mind, though, most of these races are restricted due to their lack of numbers). Secondly, restrictions are based on setting, and certain games may take place in a time where they restrictions are different, or even a different universe with the same races. It's okay, you can do it, I'll allow it.
Note: What to Choose
Though play category often hints at this, it's a weak correlation to say how easy they are to play. Some races play close to fantasy defaults, while others may end up playing like nothing you've seen before. This is just estimates, it might move around with more consideration.

*Easy, Play Like Most Races In Most Games - Angel, Asura, Centaur, Cubus, Dwarf, Dryad, Elf, Formid Goblin, Human, Inu, Kappa, Kitsune, Minotaur, Naga, Neko, Orc, Tengu, Troll
*Difficult, Have Some Distinct Features - Android, Dragon, Drow, Fae, Gnome, Harpie, Mandragora, Merfolk, Salamander, Usagi, Yuki
*Very Difficult, Races Are Essentially Unique - Giant, Karkin, Raijuu, Uligo, Undine

Recovery Element
Characters recover naturally in certain elements. These are all the elements listed in the category. However, even though they recover in the other elements, they cannot survive in any denoted with fractions. After a few hours, they stop any recovery and slowly start to die. This stops when they return to any normal element.

There are special 'elements' that have no physical equivalent, such as emotion. These aid recovery in other elements, but are obviously not sustainable on their own.
Note: Sky Above, Ground Below
'Ground' might be confusing terminology, but you know, oh well. It refers to be exposed to both air and earth at the same time. It doesn't really matter how, but being only in the air or the earth does not work equivalently, as noted above.
Eye, Hair, and Skin Color
As stated. 'Standard' refers to normal human range, ignoring things like albinism.
Size Class
The general size of the race. In certain cases, they might be one larger or smaller, but those are outliers and usually unnatural cases. Currently this affects how easy they are to hit, adding a penalty for large/very large and a bonus for small/very small. DMs may choose to count Large (Wide) as a penalty only for attacks head-on (or back-on), and Large (Long) for attacks from the side.

I'm thinking this is something purely like -1 to dodge for Large and +1 to dodge for Small, linear with positive and negative aspect.
Weight Class
The general weight of the race. In certain cases, they might be one lighter or heavier, but those are outliers and usually unnatural cases. Currently this affects how effective push/pull attacks are, more-so for light/very light and less-so for heavy/very heavy.

This, meanwhile, I think is done by the DIFFERENCE of the two. With 1 being Very Small and 5 being Very Large. Something like

Difference between Attacking/Defending (may change):
*-3 or lower - The attacker does not push/pull, may automatically suffer or have to roll to avoid a slight push/pull themselves.
*-2 - The power of the push/pull is weakened by 2 (maybe 3?).
*-1 - The power of the push/pull is weakened by 1.
* 0 - The power of the push/pull is normal.
*+1 - The power of the push/pull is strengthened by 1.
*+2 - The power of the push/pull is strengthened by 2 (maybe 3?).
*+3 or higher - The power of the push/pull is increased by the target's Agility, they may automatically suffer or have to avoid being knocked prone.

Dommi was born and raised in the Metro City Slums. She lost her parents at a young age, but a young Blake found her and the two worked together. Eventually, though, Blake changed his strategy while Dommi stayed behind to watch under children in the Slums. She also works part time at Laidena's shop.

Dommi is a part-time employee of BLUE and is relatively unimportant in most stories.
Traits
Defining Traits
Mental
* Empathetic - Mid
Physical
* Size: Mid
* Weight: Mid
Physical
Dommi, in shape, looks mostly like a standard human. However, her body is scarred, multitoned, and slightly misshapen, as well as large angel wings on her back. She has heavy control over her chakra, meaning she is very capable of controlling her body's own energy. However, bringing her fists to all sorts of fights caused her to lose a lot of it. Still, she has shown such control over her body that she can quickly integrate parts of others into herself. She started taking 'eye for an eye' literally, although she never delivered fatal blows. This ability also makes her ideal for working with soul cloth.

* Limited Flight
* Missing: Left Eye
Mental
Dommi is fairly compassionate, and attempts to help other Slum kids avoid ending up as part of the cycle of hate inherent there. She tries to avoid combat and provide direct aid to those in need, rather than taking loftier goals.

* Kinship: Blake - Mid
* Technical Pacifist
Combat
* Charka - Very High
Tactics
Dommi is an active defender of the Metro City Slums, which means she often ends up in fights. However, due to her incredibly dangerous melee abilities, she is able to end most conflicts incredibly quickly.

Due to her extreme control of chakra, she is able to slice straight through any organic matter she touches, allowing her to harmlessly remove an opponent's arms, pin them down, and then mercifully reattach them with no long-term effects. However, she is incapable of fighting long-range, which makes a battle more difficult for her if her enemies are prepared.

Role: Traveler (Very Unimportant)

Dai was an elvish child who never felt like she belonged. She discovered a kindred spirit in Karm, a fellow zero, among her people's enemies. The two grew close, and eventually left to explore the world. After some adventures, they attracted the attention of the other zeroes. The two groups didn't get along, but eventually Dai and Karm were intimidated into joining. After some time, Karm was able to escape, and Dai followed suit. The two spent some time lying low apart, but eventually got back together and adventuring again.

Dai is largely a traveler at this point, and as such plays a very unimportant role in most stories. The exception is any event involving the Zeroes.
Dai is indistinguishable from a normal elf physically, she is fairly plain and timid which further hides her. However, underneath that she is the Zero of Energy, a heavy title to bear. She has heavy control over pure energy, as well as fields by extension. Versatile and powerful, she can hide or disguise herself from others, make herself almost unharmable, or weaken an enemy.
The burden of her abilities has left its mark on her psyche, and she feels more detached from people than she feels should be, as well as blaming herself for any accidents in her presence. Unlike most of the other Zeroes, she tries to help others, but her low self-esteem and her inability to really connect prevent her from investing anything longterm.

Race: Human
Role: Figurehead (Important)

Blake is a man of intrigue in multiple meanings. Not much is known about him personally. He helped Dommi as a child, then decided to run as King of Metro City and won (this is canon). Furthermore, among his other abilities, he is host to an ability known only as the Suggestion. He is capable of making anyone's body betray them within his earshot, forcing the truth out of them or even changing their goals slightly. He is a dangerous man, but for obvious reasons darker powers have difficulty affecting him.

Blake is a figurehead and diplomat for BLUE, so he often plays a large role in stories. It's notable that his Suggestion allows the DM some breathing room for reasoning at times, although PCs may not like it.
Traits
Defining Traits
Mental
* Empathetic - Low

Physical
* Size: Mid
* Weight: Mid

Physical
Blake looks largely like a normal human, but he is instantly recognizable for his style. Brown brown hair and a backwards orange cap, green shirt with a metal necklace, and blue jeans make him stand out in a crowd.

Equipment
* Assorted Poisons
* Pocket Knife x6
* Throwing Knife x24
Mental
Blake unsurprisingly has the demeanor of a leader. He jokes a bit, but he is able to keep attention high and tension low. This is in part due to his Suggestion, which facilitates agreement to his goals and offers. Ultimately, he rarely abuses it, and when he does, it's usually juvenile and harmless. However, psychics feel uncomfortable in the same room as him, in the same way a mouse would feel uncomfortable in the same room as an elephant.
* Diplomacy - Mid
* Kinship: Dommi - Low
* Street Smarts - Mid
* The Suggestion

Combat
* Support: Poison - High
* Weapon: Explosives - High
* Weapon: Knives - High
Abilities
*Apply Poison - Minor.
*Melee - Normal, short. One dice of damage.
*Suggest - Special, any. All characters who have an unmodified hearing stat immediately react to what Blake says.
*Summon Mech - Minor. Blake
*Throw Dagger - Normal, mid. Two dice of damage.
Tactics
Blake is usually in the Metro City Government Building or out on diplomatic missions so it's rare for him to become involved with combats. In almost all cases, he will be encountered along J-Day and possibly Eve, as well as other people in the Administrative group.

Blake himself usually has a bit of fun fighting unless the situation is dire, such as a full siege. He'll often issue a command to stop, which is moot as most organized attacks would be deaf to his ability.

Forced into combat, Blake attempts to end it quickly through poisons, throwing daggers and moving fluidly to avoid melee. In a worst case scenario, he'll pull a mech out of his personal plane to try to intimidate the enemies one last time, before using it to back his threats.

Outside of his Suggestion, Blake is not very strong, although his agility serves him well. The biggest threat in combat with Blake are any bodyguards with him.

Bio
Allegiance: The Titans

Race: Android

Role: ?????

Aceln was the first android created that was capable of replicating human life. He was a marvel at the time and a magnet for attention, but as time went on he was merely the pioneer, and innovators passed him by. However, he has been capable of staying around to watch as he lost relevance. With the exception of his surrogate sister Natrigai, he became bitter and withdrawn.

Nowadays Aceln rarely answers the call to action, but he will give involved in incidents directly involving him or the Titans.
Traits
Defining Traits
Mental
* Adrift - Very High
* Rational - High
Physical
* Size: Mid
* Weight: Heavy
Physical
Aceln is clearly a metal man. He is largely cover with metal armor, but that it's ripped in several places revealing his inner metal casing. He also has two large chain guns attached to his back, and two claws which utilize thermal energy. He is also a heavy smoker.
* Addiction: Smoking
Equipment
* Chain Gun x 2 (Mounted on Back)
* Thermal Claws x 2 (Mounted on Arms)
* Smokes
Mental
Aceln was a wide-eyed idealist who watched (with his wide eyes) how quickly the world can stop caring. He went from a wonder to wreck in their eyes, and as a result he became angry at the world and avoiding most outside contact. However, he cares deeply for Natrigai, partially because she is more or less in the same boat at this point.
* Kinship: Natrigai - High

Combat
* Weapon: Heavy Weapon - Mid
* Weapon: Specialized (Thermal Claw) - Low
Abilities
*Pepper - Normal, mid. Each character in the area rolls a dice, and takes the result minus one dice of damage.
*Slash - Normal, melee only. Three dice of damage, two attacks.
Tactics
Aceln often frequent bars, so it's not rare for him to get involved in petty scuffles in them. Outside of that, most combats involving him will be more serious and involve Natrigai as well, occasionally involving all of the Titans.

Aceln usually relies on standard melee to prove his point and discourage others in barfights. In more serious combats, he'll usually try to keep enemies at bay with his Pepper ability, and quickly Slash any enemies that attack him.

Aceln is a predictable enemy, but he is still dangerous due to his sheer power.

As commander of BLUE, Ace is a very important character to any character aligned to BLUE, and to most who are not.
Physical
* Size: Mid
Physical
Ace is an android with icy blue spiky hair and deep blue eyes. His body is designed to act as metallic armor for his inner workings, and he is heavily outfitted for combat. He is regularly equipped with two large back cannons, an energy sword, a flamethrower, a grappling hook, and a shoulder rifle; but he has also several small guns hidden beneath his armor. His back also holds a few high power boosters, and some small ones are hidden under his armor as well. He also recovers from damage slightly quicker due to some nanites in his system.
* Automatic Recovery: Nanites - Very Low
* Limited Flight
* Limited Speed Boost
* B-076 Emergency Energy Pistol x4 (Under Armor, Arms x2)

Mental
Ace is focused on his personal goals, and is not above betraying those close to him to further himself. However, he ultimately finds himself back with them again, although it's usually because he wants to be.

* Scientific Method - Mid
Combat
* Weapon: Energy Weapon (Sword, Cannons) - High, Mid
* Weapon: Heavy Weapon (Cannons) - Mid
* Weapon: Ranged Weapon (Rifle) - Low
* Weapon: Specialized (Flamethrower, Grappling Hook) - Mid, Low
Abilities
*Blast - Special, long. Ten dice of energy damage.
*Boost - Minor, move. Ace moves a number of squares from where he was. (can lead into a Charge)
*Burn - Special, short. Two dice of fire damage. One dice of ongoing fire damage.
*Jettison - Free. Ace jettisons a weapon, sacrificing power for speed.
*Pull - Normal, mid. One dice of damage, the character is pulled into short range.
*Slice - Normal, short. Two dice of energy damage.
*Shoot - Normal, long. Three dice of damage if he still has his rifle. One dice of damage with his skeletal guns.
Tactics
Due to his position as head of BLUE, Ace rarely engages himself in combat, beyond the occasional training to keep in shape.

The most likely thing to drive him into a combat situation is an attack on BLUE Headquarters. In such scenarios, he'd be back up by defensive wall-mounted cannons as well as BLUE personnel, both minor and major.

If forced into combat, he'll likely smile, first-off. From there, he'll often make sure his foe is engaged (by sight or by a few attacks) before boosting away and attempting his energy cannons. Regardless of the success, the next turn he'll jettison the cannons and either boost into melee if he can or move further away, peppering with long range attacks until his target moves close enough for him to engage in melee.

When facing multiple foes, Ace will often use his Burn ability to weaken surrounding enemies momentarily, before boosting away and using Pull to engage the weakest in single melee.

Ace is not the most powerful opponent as he's around the middle of Tier 3, but his abilities make him very dangerous to try to engage.

Tiny humans with antennae and insectoid wings.

History
Another early race, the fae are tiny winged humanoids. At first glance they seemed ill-equipped for the world, but they turned out to hold a secret that made them one of the strongest contenders: Their ability to adapt. Fae are able to enter a hibernation around about anything and become accustomed to it. Climate, objects, other people, you name it. However, this ability made them attractive as slaves for the other races, and their general penance of mischief did not help endeavors. The fae were largely used as a slave race for the other early races. As the social climate changed, this practice began to vanish, and in general the fae have appeared to move on and enjoy it.

The fae tend to be very playful, regardless of the situations. However, most take an interest in others because society is like a metaphysical shiny bauble that interests them. Even the most antagonistic rarely are outright violent, they just might impede others. However, sometimes that's all that needs to happen for everything to go south.
Culture
Fae have always been a bit more light-hearted than the other races, as everything is a celebration for them, even funerals. As society progressed, the Fae became even more benign in their dealings with other races, although they still enjoyed the occasional prank or two at times other races would consider inappropriate.

Due to their small size, Fae are able to set up small settlements anywhere, and use material other races cannot. As a trade-off, these tend to be even more temporary than most settlements, and offer the equivalent of nothing in terms of protection from actual attack.

Fashion
Like many races of their time, fae adopt from both Early and New Race fashions, often mixing and matching in a single outfit.
Racial Abilities
* Manual Adaptation - Very Low
* Natural Flight: Speed
* Sense Magic: (One Adaptation)
Note: The Fair Folk
Like the dragons, fae explicitly have the ability to diversify themselves, even throughout the game. As such, it is possible for them to deviate from these abilities.

Racial Norms
Fae most definitely focus on Magic and Agility, usually with Chakra and Conviction following, neglecting Intelligence a bit more than other stats. They tend to be Self-Oriented and Brave, toying with anyone for their amusement.
Humans with long ears. Also, thin whiskers and thin, translucent vestigial wings.

History
Elves are an early race created by Bahamut. They truly believed the universe was created for them, and their power backed up their pride. The elves were capable of subjugating many of the other races to their needs. While the other races grew in power, some Elves became sympathetic to them and became less militaristic. The others became even more violent, but were ultimately wiped out. Small pockets still remain, but the organization as a whole was crippled.

Elves in general have a strained relationship with other races, which is not helped by their attitudes. In general, they are unhelpful and holier-than-thou, although some have become apologists. There are small groups that are still dedicated to enslaving and wiping out the undeserving races that caused the Gods to retreat.
Culture
Elves are one of the few Elder Races that could stand the smell and sight of one another. Indeed, Elves didn't blow their own sense of self worth out of proportion as much as the others, but they did do so with the worth of their race. Elves were the chosen ones in their eyes, and they as such they tended to make tightly knit villages. Elves probably have the most still self-sustaining villages of the social races, largely just above tribal in their designs.
Fashion
Elves relish traditional designs, and varying from them is widely frown upon in the culture. Tattoos are not rare, but piercings are another stigma.
One the most basic level, green humans. However, due to their isolated movements, they have become heavily covered with various plants, usually covering their torso and arms but sometimes almost completely burying themselves in it. These plants act as part of their body, they are able to feel anything they feel and control them naturally.

History
Dryads are an Early Race that survived with ease due to their ability to live within the plantlife that once dominated the planet. However, when the other races started growing, they became stripping forests to expand and remove monsters. This affected the dryads vastly, and the once peaceful creatures began a battle for their lives. Dryads removed themselves from outside contact and began guerilla tactics against civilizations. However, that is not to say they are not powerful, they occasionally will tear apart settlements with their abilities.

Dryads by and large are entirely removed from communication from anyone other than other Dryads, as most other species have difficulty grasping the idea of needing plantlife to live. However, some dryads are willing to give those who prove to be respectful to nature a shot, but they're rare to find. In either case, it's rare to actually see a dryad, they often hide quite literally deep within the woods and manipulate it to help or harm any passerbys.

Culture
Dryad culture heavily values plant life, as they are most reliant on it to live. Their villages tend to be surrounded by thorny vines, their homes literally inside tree trunks. As a result of the deforestation during the advancement of society, dryads numbers were unintentionally thinned and the majority remaining became militant in their defense. Dryads tend to go out of their way to harass or sabotage other races, believing if they're not a threat to them now they'll be one in the future.
Fashion
Dryad fashion tends to be pretty minimal, as they tend to cover themselves with various plants they can attach to their body. This rarely helps stabilize them, as several of the plants affect them as well as their enemies. They do not indulge explicitly in tattooing or piercings, although many plants emulate the physical appearance of either.
Drows are elves with spider-like bottom halves, mandibles, and antennae.

History
As the OO supremacy spread throughout elvish culture, some elves decided to make it clear they were against the OO policy. The OO was relentless in dealing with dissenters, and so these elves had to go into hiding. Most social races refused to intervene, terrified of the OO themselves, so they went to caves and sought assistance from the dwarves. The dwarves were also terrified of the OO, and refused refuge. They went deeper and met the gnomes, who reacted the same. They continued their passage deeper until they came across the Formid, who frequented the surface so rarely they had no idea what the OO was, and welcomed the travelers. As time went on, the elves adapted to the dark environments, and made their abodes above the Formid.

Drows are usually still very upstanding and helpful, although they're not beyond pointing out the slights against them in the past. Some drows may have become very resentful and bitter due to other races ignoring their cries for assistance.
Culture
Drow culture is tied closely to the Formid, so I'll probably touch this up more when Corvus finishes those notes. Right now their dwelling tend to be built on ceilings...

Racial Abilities
* Additional Limbs: Legs (x 2)
Drows, like elves, prioritize their Magic abilities. Unlike their former brethren, however, they focus equally heavy on Conviction, trying to solve things through words. Their other skills often aren't far behind, so they can rely on action if they must. They tend to be Outspoken and Empathetic, as that is what caused them to change so in the first place.

Dragons are largely what you expect from dragons. However, many dragons have learned to transform into a demi-human form to work easier within society. These tend to also be what you'd expect: Humans with their dragon wings, tail, ears and whiskers, as well as some having scales on some other parts of their body and claws for fingers and toes. The amount is left to the creator of the character, but the character should be distinctly foremost human.

History
Dragons are a race created by Bahamut. Greedy and powerful, they were probably as much as a threat to the other races as any of the monsters. However, one flavor of food, the elves, had begun to explore magic. The dragons had to have it. Slowly they learned of its secrets. Eventually, they learned to take a humanoid shape and learned directly even faster. The dragons quickly diversified, but something unexpected happened. Many of them began to view their food as something more than consumables. Most dragons left for their own Plane, terrified of such thoughts. Others stayed behind and grew to treat the other races as something more than food, for various reasons.

Social dragons are always a bit impatient and holier-than-thou, but will always listen when they could stand to profit. Wild dragons, however, treat other races as nuisances second and a source of food first.

Culture
As with many Elder Races, dragons don't really care for each other's companies. But even dragons who embrace society tend to treat themselves as higher than others, and hunger to improve their standing in life at any cost.
Fashion
Dragons tend to favor traditional robes and vestments, although as they adapt to society they've come to borrow from others. Light piercing and perhaps tattooing is fine, but they rarely go to extremes.
Note: Here There Be Dragons
Dragons, as is key for fantasy settings, come in many flavors, so each type will have different abilities and forms. This section will eventually detail some typical dragon designs, but right now is just a placeholder.
Racial Norms
Dragons nowadays focus most on their Chakra and Magic, their ability to affect the world around them, though they tend to dump Conviction because words are for the weak. However, their other stats are sometimes only slightly neglected, making them mostly well-rounded. Dragons are almost always Self-Oriented and Adrift, with Exploratory and Outspoken often coming up as well as/in place of those.
Cubus look like demi-humans with goat-like legs, bat-like wings, and long, thin tails. As an early race, their bodies are generally designed largely for combat, with huge thick claws on their feet, long nails on their hands, and horns sticking out of their major joints on their arms, legs, and wings, as well as one on their tail. Some cubus have horns elsewhere on their body, it's really open to expression of the creator of the character.

History
Another of the early races, the cubus were capable of withstanding the proto-world by their versatility. Large claws for attack, large wings for flight, and their unique tails allow them to draw energy from excess emotion. As the other races grew in power, the cubus in large part left the Tellurian Plane to form their own.

The cubus are probably by definition the most social of the species, as they can be sustained on emotion. However, they are generally disliked by the other races and each other. Overall, they are the least threatening as they survive easiest when others are around, but they are dangerous foes if angered.
Culture
Cubus, like many Elder Races, don't really care to be among their own kind, staking off to stake their own claim. However, all Cubus value emotion, from happiness to fear to adoration to despair, and respect those who command many from others. If it is not a Cubus, they tend to try to plant themselves near their target to work into their inner circle. If it is, they tend to be much more direct in their attempt to handle matters.
Fashion
Cubus fashion is heavily varied, often in a single wardrobe. They tend to go out to get an emotional response, and that starts with the first impression they leave. Piercings are excessively common, and tattoos are not rare although nowhere near as widespread.
Racial Abilities
* Prehensile Tail: Spiked
* Size: Large (Wide)
* Talent: Manipulate - Low
Combat
* Small bonus to unarmed combat (horns to headbutt/charge, claws to unarmed melee/scratches, various if spikes elsewhere)
Racial Norms
Cubus tend to focus on mostly their Conviction, then Magic and Agility, although their other stats aren't far behind. They tend to rely more on their base Cunning than their Knowledge, using fast words and actions to overtake unfamiliar situations, augmented by their Conviction. Cubus are almost always Self-Oriented and Emotional, with Adrift and Outspoken also being common as well/in place of those.
Centaurs are humans with horselike lower halves.

History
Centaurs were one of the last Newer Races created, and didn't have much going for them. But they took a different path than other less powerful races, they dug down and started to work. They took plant life, growing and varying the selection. This began inter-racial trade, as Centaurs were able to provide more food alive than if killed, and were able to convince other races to protect or serve them in exchange. Not long after, humans came along and worked the same lines to found society.

Centaurs tend to be a bit hick: Honest, simplistic, and hard-working.
Culture
More like AGRICULTURE. Centaur culture relied on living on wide open plains and farming, and the tradition continues to modern day, where centaurs still provide the largest amount of vegetables. Their villages tend to be small and simple, to save as much land for farming as possible.
Fashion
Centaurs prefer function over form, simple outfits that get the job done and allow tans. Piercings are discouraged, but tattoos became fairly popular as society progressed.
Asura are currently just humans with six arms and horns. They are likely to be slightly redesigned, because blah blah blah.

History
Asuras are another early race. Six arms and their rage made them devastating destroyers, and they had no problem surviving in the harsh proto-world. However, they decreased in number rapidly due to their inability to stand one another, avoiding mating and oftern murdering each other. As the other races grew in power, they began to recognize their wane in power as a race and some begrudgingly kept the line going. Others instead focused on becoming even stronger themselves.

Asuras are typically hostile to anything new, and several things old. However, most of have begun to recognize the new social uprising, and will usually at least hear someone out before reacting violently, assuming they're quick with their words. Some are basically feral, however, and stop at nothing to kill everything in their sight.

Culture
Barely able to stand each other long enough to continue the species, asuras have no distinct culture. However, they instinctively value and respect power, and will often challenge those they don't feel deserve it, especially if they're another asura.
Fashion
Being almost barbaric, fashion is rarely a concern beyond the basics and at best they're like many Elder Races, with clothing designs that tend to be flowing and traditional. However, it is not rare for modern asuras to heavily embrace tattoos and/or piercings as signs of their strength.
Racial Abilities
* Additional Limbs: Arms (x 2)
Angels are humanoids with a large number of wings in various sizes and locations, fourteen in total.

History
Angels are one of the earliest races created by the Gods. With feathery bodies and large wings, they ruled the air. However, they had to come down sometime, and were largely wiped out by the various 'monsters' the Gods had filled the land with. As the other races became more diverse, monsters became rarer, and angels were able to recover and take the skies once again. Their reign was not what it once was thanks to Tengu, and they embraced their innate magical abilities to compete.

Angels tend to be tightly knit, especially after their near extinction. They are very wary of anything new, particularly people. However, they are willing to help, in hopes of being helped in return.
Culture
Angel societies tend to be based on mutual assistance. Their sense of community is very strong, and outside of their groups they tend to try to improve any community they enter.

Their actual cities tend to be makeshift shanties in trees or other elevations, to protect them from prey and to set up again easily if they need to leave. As society progressed, angel cities became more permanent, with buildings spanning the full length of trees and reinforced past their original shoddiness.

Fashion
Angels in general barely touch fashion in the slightest. Flowing robes work for all ages and tastes, and tattoos and piercings
Dwarves are largely what you expect. However, as a note, their beards are actually thick whiskers. In addition, their fingers are gnarled

History
Dwarves came shortly after the early races. Facing danger daily among monsters and the early races, the dwarves fled to the mountains. They soon found the caves too small for their needs, and began digging deep into the earth. Generations sank their lives into it, and work became all they knew from birth to death. To work was to have purpose. However, manual labor is not the only facet. Crafting and trade became essential to continue, and eventually management of those became too. But regardless of the field, laziness is death for dwarves.

Dwarves are generally well-liked by other races, as they are dedicated workers. They tend to be up for jobs others would not be up to. However, they become agitated if any job requires much downtime. Dwarves by nature rarely are antagonistic, but it is possible for them to hire as assassins.
Culture
Dwarves love work for work's sake. Their culture focuses on making everything as complicated as possible for the sole purpose of adding more work to do. Offering aid to a dwarf is considered a great insult, and indeed true friends often make life as hard as possible because that's what dwarves tend to want. Negotiations and trades with dwarves tend to require their own council, and as such dwarves rarely are given high political positions outside their homelands (although they tend to prefer drudging through the lower work anyway).

As anyone who enjoys things that are hard, dwarves have taken up dwelling in caves (that may be confusing cause and effect). They were able to find enough vegetation to live within, and began carving their homes and living into the cave wells. As mining resulted in rare materials, they began to adapt their society, and often traded with those who were capable of keeping up with the intensity. Their cities now tend to be large carved openings, with the housing and layout shifting every few days to keep themselves busy.

Fashion
Early Race fashion tended to be too simple for dwarves, so they set off to design their own, and are in fact credited for creating the general fashion the New Races take on. However, they tend to design and make their own clothes individually just for the thrill of the work. Indeed, dwarf tailors tend to be the best due to their dedication to challenging work. Although dwarves themselves tend to not engage in piercing or tattooing themselves, they're often the most common artisans of the trade (among their other jobs) due to the demanding nature of the skill.

Fashion
...And their clothing still tends to resemble traditional elvish garb. These can change, though!
Racial Abilities
* Additional Limbs: Legs (x 2)
Racial Norms
Drows, like elves, prioritize their Magic abilities. Unlike their former brethren, however, they focus equally heavy on Conviction, trying to solve things through words.

If it is, they tend to be much more direct in their attempt to handle matters.

* Additional Limbs: Arms (x 2)
* Natural Emotional State: Rage
* No Sense of Pain
* Resilience: All Magic
Racial Norms
Asuras almost always focus on the physical foremost, Agility and especially Chakra being slightly to much higher than their other stats, their Conviction usually be a dump stat. They tend to be Brave and Emotional, and Self-Oriented or Outspoken are common as well as/in place of those.

General Tier 2 stats:
*Agility 3/2
*Intelligence 1/1
*Chakra 4/4
*Magic 2/2

Racial Abilities
* Mana Organ: External (Halo)
* Magic: Light - Low
* Natural Flight: Speed
* Size: Large (Wide)
* Able to null two critical hits with wings before flight becomes Limited, three before loss of flight.
Racial Norms
Angels tend to focus on Magic, Agility, and/or Conviction, although they usually keep their stats close together, occasionally treating Chakra as a dump stat. In general, angels are Goal-Oriented and Empathetic, in belief that helping others ultimately ends up more rewarding than helping themselves.
