Cubus look like demi-humans with goat-like legs, bat-like wings, and long, thin tails. As an early race, their bodies are generally designed largely for combat, with huge thick claws on their feet, long nails on their hands, and horns sticking out of their major joints on their arms, legs, and wings, as well as one on their tail. Some cubus have horns elsewhere on their body, it's really open to expression of the creator of the character.
History
Another of the early races, the cubus were capable of withstanding the proto-world by their versatility. Large claws for attack, large wings for flight, and their unique tails allow them to draw energy from excess emotion. As the other races grew in power, the cubus in large part left the Tellurian Plane to form their own.
The cubus are probably by definition the most social of the species, as they can be sustained on emotion. However, they are generally disliked by the other races and each other. Overall, they are the least threatening as they survive easiest when others are around, but they are dangerous foes if angered.
Racial Abilities
- Natural Flight - Cubus use flight as a tool for their powers more than a style of movement. They are slow but looming. They move at quarter speed and suffer a penalty to dodge, but they are able to strike fear into targets that spot them.
- Prehensile Tail - Once per combat, Cubus can use their tail for a surprise attack for half damage. Make not work on enemies familiar with the race/character.
- Size: Large - Large wing and tail make Cubus easy targets, especially from the rear. Suffer a penalty for dodges and tight spaces.
- Talent: Manipulate - Low - Cubus start out with a knowledge of how to get people to do what they want, as is convenient for their lifestyles.
