The Agents
Contents
Overview[edit]
The Agents tend to exist just outside the perception of the world. An elite group who are an organization in the loosest sense, these are powerful and select people who were chosen by an enigmatic benefactor to strengthen them and further their goals. Agents usually have free reign on whatever they do, but are generally expected to answer to any Agent higher on the totem than them.
It might be easiest to say the Agents are evil, but the easiest thing is often the wrong thing to do; Weapon Goddess is probably the most compassionate Setting NPC, for example. The Agents tend to simply be very passionate and self-focused characters, and for good reason, they tend to be the most powerful.
Bonuses[edit]
The Agents have probably the least restrictions on what is considered bad behavior. So long as an agent does not interfere with a higher agent's plan, they pretty much complete freedom: No scolding for killing people, destroying or stealing things, or anything. You can server yourself so long as you're not hurting a higher agent in the process.
As time goes on, agents are also often able to call upon lower agents for assistance and as they move up the ranks get access to powerful magics long forgotten to Sote.
Missions[edit]
Agents generally work toward whatever goal they want to achieve, although they can be called on at any time to work for a higher agent.
Note that the Agents are so large and enigmatic that it's entirely possible for two (or more) agent spies to be placed in the same area of an organization for the same (or even different) reasons and have no idea the other(s) is also an agent.
