Social Traits

These traits are all sorta double-edged, mostly used in defining the character. They are most often fragments from their past, and help define their character arc. They may be gained as lost as the story progresses.

Not sure how to handle these when the subject is killed/destroyed. We'll see!

Hatred[edit]

The character detests something. This is most often a concept or group, rather than individual. The character actively dislikes being around what it hates, and makes it known. The character has an easy time working against it and a hard time working with it.

  • Very Low - The characters dislikes something, suffering small penalties when having to work with it.
  • Low
  • Mid
  • High
  • Very High - The character constantly works to disable or discredit the thing they hate, even when it's counter to their own goals or the goals of their party.

Antagonism[edit]

The character has a rivalry with another character. The character feels best when the other is not around or performing less well than them.

An antagonism does not have to be mutual. The character could just think the other character needs to be knocked down a peg by SOMEONE, or other situations like that.

The antagonism does not always run deep, though. If the rival's spirit is crushed, the character might feel bad as they disengage from activities that sparked the rivalry.

  • Very Low - The character is annoyed or uncomfortable around another character, suffering small penalties with extensive runs of their success.
  • Low
  • Mid
  • High
  • Very High - The character constantly desires to defeat, humiliate, or otherwise work against their rival, even when it's counter to their other goals or the goals of their party.

Kinship[edit]

The character cares for another character. Romantic or platonic, the character feels better when the other character feels good or is around.

A kinship does not have to be mutual. It can be a one-way crush, or just an adoration of someone.

The kinship can refer only to attention, sometimes. A character might feel good when their subject is crushed, if the subject is giving them attention in their desperation.

  • Very Low - The character enjoys the company of another, and suffers small penalties for extended time without the character.
  • Low
  • Mid
  • High
  • Very High - The character constantly desires to be with them or make them happy, even when it's counter to their own goals or the goals of their party.

Loyalty[edit]

The character is loyal to something. This is most often a concept or group, rather than individual. The character actively believes in the subject, and makes it known. The character has an easy time working with it and a hard time working against it.

  • Very Low - The character admires or likes something, suffering small penalties when having to work against it.
  • Low
  • Mid
  • High
  • Very High - The character constantly desires to work in the favor of their loyalty, even when it's counter-productive to their own goals or the goals of their party.
